When I was a kid, my favorite part of the holidays was Christmas Eve. My sister and I always wrote a letter to Santa Claus to remind him what gifts we had asked for. We put a carrot outside our bedroom window for Rudolph to eat, and we left a glass of whiskey and a slice of Christmas cake for Santa to enjoy. On Christmas morning, the whiskey, cake and carrot would be gone, and we always found a note from Santa about his night.
Now that I am an adult, my favorite part of the holidays is when my family and friends get together for big meals. On Thanksgiving day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, we can all eat dinner together. It is fun to sit down to eat with all the important people in my life.
